It is easier to connect and understand one’s purpose in life than it is to fulfill it because external influences and expectations cloud our judgement and vision. We can be clear as to what our purpose in life is but at the same time fearful because to actually live it could mean we are going against the so-called “norm”.

People become fearful to embark on a different journey that may not be seen as “normal” within society. We avoid change and challenges and get caught up and stuck within a job or relationship that does not serve or satisfy us. This leads to lack of joy within our lives, constant frustration for things not going as we planned and hoped for and overall unhappiness.

Another common setback is when an opportunity presents itself, we often spend too much time overthinking, weighing the pros and cons and asking for approval from others. Yet, opportunities present themselves to you because they are meant for you! We should not second guess ourselves or allow our emotions to have precedence over what we should or shouldn’t do in life.

It takes courage to live the life of your dreams according to your vision and purpose instead of the life that others expect you to live.

So often, we are stuck in our headspace and our busy minds cause us to miss the blessings or signs right in front of our eyes.

Therefore to act on our purpose, we first need to develop a strong relationship with ourselves, ensuring we do not need validation from anything other than ourselves. For when you are able to be in a place of inner stillness and calm with yourself, there will be no doubt around what the right path is for you and it will be clear how exactly you should be journeying down that road.

Authenticity requires vulnerability, transparency and integrity.

In love, light and happiness
