What would you do if all of your scheduled events, your major revenue source, for the next 12 months, canceled overnight?
This was the predicament Moira found herself in at the beginning of March. Moira Ni Ghallachoir is a public speaker and mentor who speaks on stages around the world.
In the last 3 years, Moira’s central source of income has been her international speaking career, along with the Secret Suppers she hosts wherever she is, to enroll people in her mentoring courses.
When the crisis hit, all of Moira’s speaking engagements were cancelled. She dropped 40 events overnight! Moira knew that she needed to make a quick pivot - luckily she knew her skills and speaking could translate online. She quickly set up a ‘virtual stage’ on her Facebook page, and started inviting speakers she knew globally to join her to speak. Within 1 week she had over 20 speakers book her virtual stage, which started to create even more opportunities to speak virtually at other events.
Moira had also just started hosting a series of unique events called Secret Suppers Worldwide, and with mentoring from Roger James Hamilton in his Crystal Circle programme, Moira quickly started hosting them virtually and has been inviting her global network to join these secret events, giving her not only her own virtual stage from home but also creating intimate gatherings for entrepreneurs
Moira was then invited to join the Trusted Buyers Club, and she was confident about her offerings straight away. Moira focused on virtual speaking and training others to close sales, knowing those were powerful offerings and new skills that people needed right now.

By showing up to build trust by being of service to others, Moira’s crisis pivot has led to her being featured on even bigger virtual stages and growing her business while in lockdown through global speaking engagements (all from the comfort of her home in Ireland!)
