Dear Dynamo. Do you know how intuitive you are? Blaze, how you are loved? Tempo, how much grounding you bring to a situation? And Steel, how your clarity is appreciated in an often chaotic world?
I don't know about you, but I often use my Genius label as a reminder of WHAT I am supposed to be without giving much thought to HOW it requires me to be. As a Dynamo, I know that I am creative, but I often forget that I need to use my intuition to tap into this creativity.
I was reminded of my intuition this weekend while attending a refresher Transcendental Meditation workshop (Sidenote: I got into Transcendental Meditation by following my passions, but that's an article on its own). During the Q&A on the topic of inter-connectedness with all that is, I tongue-in-cheekily asked if my sudden spate of eye problems had anything to do with my cat going blind.
The answer from the facilitator was a confident "Yes!" And then she casually added, "You're highly empathic and sensitive, which is why you're so good at what you do."
Much like the cat hairs on my t-shirt, I brushed it off. As an entrepreneur I do plenty, so what exactly was she referring to? She's never seen my work so how could she know I was good at it? And why wasn't my brilliance being reflected in my bank account? In fact, true to Dynamo style, I have an alarmingly high number of zero-level businesses in start-stop mode.
But it did get me thinking about my process and what it is that I do. When am I practicing my intuition? Where do I deliver the best results without even trying? And what gets me so excited that it doesn't feel like work?
As I reflected on my entrepreneurial path over the last decade, there was a clear winner. As an "intuitive empath," I have a natural capacity for sensing and understanding the feelings of others, and I express this through my writing. Linking this back to my Genius, I add value to a project by breaking big, complicated, overwhelming pictures (my Dynamo energy) into smaller, digestable chunks that readers can relate to (my Steel energy). Whether through articles, strategies, courses, ebooks, avatar creation, or technical instructions, I tend to get into my clients' minds and turn their complex thoughts into simpler words.
This is brand new information for me. While I am grateful and aware that writing kept me clothed and fed through the years, I wasn't quite aware of how much I relied on my intuition to deliver the results. See the irony? But now that I understand it, I am keen to explore it further. I now need to own it!
So here's my challenge to you. When you look beyond the label of Dynamo, Blaze, Tempo, or Steel, what are you missing? Are you truly tapping into your Genius in ways that naturally create wealth? How do you naturally add value or leverage to a project? According to your Wealth Dynamics profile, what are your thinking and action dynamics and how do you contribute your gifts to the world?
I'm keen to hear your answers.
