All Questions have been taken from Community Manager Duncan's Mini-Mastermind call on Thursday 30th January.

Q’s from GEM Member Mary Wilson

Can you have one for different levels of people for the same problem - or is it recommended they go into different circles?

Circles numbers are about the quality of the members, rather than the quantity. If you believe the different levels of members represent different avatars, i.e. same problem but different enough to need a separate avatar then potentially you need multiple groups to ensure your solving the specific problem. If they’re simply at different points of the same journey, one community is sufficient.

Is there a way to ‘bookmark’ joined circles within Genius U?

There is no specific way to bookmark a Circle. However, if you visit the Circle homepage and select the Joined circles tab, you will be able to see all the circles you are currently a member of. This is also visible on your profile page.

Is there someone to speak to on how a Microdegree could be created for a topic?

If you join Duncan’s Mini-Mastermind call on Thursday 6th February, he will be talking all about Microdegrees.

Q's from GEM Member Sue Jackson

Is it possible to change the type of circle after it’s been created? I created a Genius circle for the MM, looks like should have been a Microdegree circle?

Yes and no,  you can change Circle type once you’ve created it. However, you cannot change it to a Microdegree Circle. Before you create and publish a Microdegree, you need to create a circle. This is the circle that you’re your Microdegree takers will be automatically added into and is a great place to connect and add value to the course takers.

Is there a protocol to tagging other circles when posting into our own circle?

Suggest to post any one piece of content to the maximum of 3 circles. However if posting to multiple Circles, would also advise customising the post text for each circle to ensure it adds value to the specific circle.
