• Beautiful pyramids, temples, as well as tombs of an ancient Egypt work to remind the people of today of a nation that was able to rise to power more than 5,000 years ago. The nation would finally crumble, but not until after establishing large and powerful armies and enjoying 2,500 years of rule. While the dry air and desert sands are thought to be harsh and unlivable, it is these elements that have allowed many records and items to be preserved from that era. This post was written by a friend of mine who works at the service Mcessay-for writing various works. I wish you a pleasant excuse for this material.

  •  Ancient Egyptians lived very eventful lives. Like today, the people of the nation enjoyed a variety of jobs and positions including artists, craftsmen, explorers, and even soldiers. Egyptian warriors fought and won many battles, with those in power governing wide area of the known world. The ancient Egyptians had a real appreciation for nature, and through the history that has been preserved, it seems they had a great sense of humor, as well. The ancient Egyptians were one of the first societies that really questioned man, nature, and God and how the three interacted. They questioned mans place in society more than perhaps other people, but they enslaved thousands of men and women from other areas.

  • Egypt has long been considered the “gift of the Nile” because the floodwaters of the river worked to deposit rich, black soil on the land year after year. Egyptian farmers planted their crops in this fertile soil, and yet they butted up against areas of vast Saharan desert. On the edge of the desert, the Egyptians built giant pyramids as burial places for their pharaohs. They carved the Great Sphinx out of solid rock as a guardian of King Cheops’ Great Pyramid at Giza. The ancient Egyptians called their country Kemet, which means black, as in the black soil that the lands were known for. The Greeks called the country Aigyptos, from the name Ha-ka-ptah, the main temple of the Egyptian capital at Memphis.

  • It is thought that many modern beliefs and ideals originated in Egypt. It was these people who developed the first national government in the world and theirs was the first religion that made life after death a possibility to its people. They also worked to produce beautiful art and breathtaking literature. It was also these people, who developed the 365 day calendar year, and their uses of geometry as well as surgery are still in use today.

  • The boundaries of Egypt have changed greatly over the ages. In the early dates it was made of the fertile valley of the Nile River located in northeastern Africa. Later on the kingdom would grow and would go further out to about 680 miles from the Mediterranean Sea to what are known as the first rapids of the Nile River. In the end, it was about 8,000 square miles, which is comparable to the size of Massachusetts. Later, ancient Egypt would come to rule neighboring areas in the Nile Valley including the fertile green patches, also known as oases, in the desert to the west. It usually governed part of the Nile Valley south of the first rapids, the Red Sea coast, and the western part of the Sinai Peninsula.
