Keywords:
Do your keyword research and design long tailed keywords
You need to look up for what are the keywords your audience is feeding into the Google search bar. Also, pick up some primary keywords from the list which have low competition and high search value and optimise your webpage with such untapped but frequently searched words relevant to your business. If most of the keywords fall into the high competition zone try to use long tail keywords. E.g: Keyword: Digital Marketing Agency (It’s Generic), Long tail Keyword: Digital Marketing Agency in Mumbai (It's more specific)
Are you Targeting primary keywords?
Sometimes you get overwhelmed with the nature of a keyword and overestimate its ability to rank for your business. You need to do an intensive research to ensure you have targeted the right keywords. We recommend you use the exhaustive keyword list approach and work backwards by eliminating keywords which are very generic or very difficult with high competition.
Have you Include primary keyword in the title, URL, meta description and in the 1st sentence of your body copy?
Google uses the words in your title tag to understand what your page and business is all about.
Hence, your shortlisted primary keywords should be a part of your page title, as it will improve your clickability. Including your keywords in the URL, Meta Description and the 1st few lines of the 1st para re-affirms Relevance for Google.
4. Is your URL structure lean?
Research shows that short URL’s perform well compared to long ones. As Long URL’s are difficult to memorise as well as share, we recommend you to cut off all the fat from your URL.
5. Did you Add modifiers to your title?
Modifiers are extensions to your titles/keywords. Use words like Best, most preferred, Top, etc with your primary keywords to make them long tail because these modifiers will attract more organic search towards your webpage.
6. Are you maintain keyword density?
You cannot flood your webpage with massive number of keywords, they must move in the natural flow of the body copy. Keyword placement is more critical compared to Keyword density.
7. Did you Add variations and synonyms of your primary keyword into your web copy?
Most of the times a google searcher is trapped in the maze of time, he/she is in a hurry for quick results. So they tend to miss-spell, miss-type which can affect your organic website traffic. So, we recommend you use variations in spelling as well as add similar words to your primary keywords so that your SEO plan is covered from all sides.
