Ever get the feeling that LinkedIn lacks a certain personal element?
This used to be true, but soon, streaming video through LinkedIn Live will launch. It’s LinkedIn’s answer to streaming on its platform, much like Facebook or Instagram.
But unlike Facebook or Instagram I advise you to approach Live with a little more thought before going on camera. Consider these things before going live and you’ll be ready when the time comes.
- Be responsive: Success on Live is marked by your ability to continually provide interesting content for your audience.
- Plan: Do you really want to go in front of a live audience without a plan? Planning is a real asset because it’ll help you keep on top of your content and your audience.
- Prep: Just like an event, it’s worth promoting your live stream before the time to maximise the amount of views.
- Entertainment: Remember to promote your live stream like an event, not a meeting. Keep your audience engaged and don’t drift off during the stream.
- Duration: Live streaming should be bite-sized for your audience to get the essential piece of information in minimal timing. Be sure to be concise.
Follow these tips and I guarantee when the time comes, you’ll be ready to go Live.
