In my last article, I spoke about the importance of startups and businesses having focussed 3 month sprints.

The natural question arises what do you focus on, in these 12 weeks?

(Here's a link to that article: https://www.geniusu.com/articles/3872942)

The answer is in these 12 weeks, this is where you are focussed on promoting one product or service and have a specific revenue target you want to achieve for that product.

So for example, you want to sell 10 places on your online course on 'How to use Excel' at $147 each, giving you a total revenue of $1470.

This is then broken down into the following components:

1) Your objective (Discussed above)

2) Who are you selling it to, also known as the avatar or persona.

3) What is the problem this persona is facing

4) What is the solution to this persona's problem

5) What is your compelling offer

6) Your team that is going to help you achieve this

7) Financial, development & learning objectives

8) The 5 Marketing channels to market your product

9) Your milestones at the end of Month 1 then month 2 and finally month 3.

10) Then you want to have an excel spreadsheet that measures how many leads you have and how many have of those leads are converted into sales and which marketing channel they came from. This is measured on a week by week basis with your team.

This is a promotion plan in summary and this is the whole idea behind the 3 month GeniusU Startup & Business Accelerator Competition.

3 months of focus on your business idea/product to achieve a revenue target within 12 weeks with weekly targets and group meetings and daily accountability as well as learning how to use GeniusU to help achieve this alongside other marketing channels.
