Wise advice! The ones to follow is individual of course, depending on various factors. But as a community leader I follow a lot. For example Roger Hamilton, Penny and Thomas Power, Eric Edmeades, Ivan Misner, Andy Lopata, Judith Germain, Daniel Priestly etc. etc.

Prominent scientists sign declaration that animals have conscious awareness, just like us

An international group of prominent scientists has signed The Cambridge Declaration on Consciousness in which they are proclaiming their support for the idea that animals are conscious and aware to the degree that humans are — a list of animals that includes all mammals, birds, and even the octopus. But will this make us stop treating these animals in totally inhumane ways?

Firstly, I decided to have a positive frame of mind. Secondly, I decided to spend some time networking on Genius U and LinkedIn. Thirdly, did some volunteer work. As they say, every random act of kindness matters.

I reconnected with a gentleman who can take our Water Filtering System to the Malaysian Government, where parts of the country are so desperate for clean, inexpensive drinking water - and where no power is needed to create this. We haven't pulled it off yet, but we have just helped in Colombia and Indonesia where there is a similar challenge. I LOVE it when a simple connection can lead to country or even world changing events.

I fed the homeless in Hobart last night. I do this once or twice a month, but as I am about to go to Bali for 5 weeks decided to do it back to back Saturdays. It got to zero last night and was still only 2 degrees at 10am. I feel so much for these people and I know the hot soup, free bread, muffins, veges and the conversation. really helps to life their spirits

So true. We also have difficulty unlearning what we have learnt previously, while children face no such problems.
